Terms of use
The one that matters: this website is general education about the heart. It is not a diagnosis, and reading it is not the same as being examined.
This site is not medical advice
Everything here — the condition pages, the descriptions of tests, the articles, the anatomy explorer — is general information about how the heart works and what commonly goes wrong with it. It is written for patients, and it is written carefully, but it is written about people in general and not about you.
Two hearts with the same symptom can need opposite things. Only an examination, with your history and your reports in front of the doctor, can tell you what is happening in your case. Please do not start, stop or change any medicine on the strength of something you read here.
The two tools are not diagnostic
The symptom checker and the “do I need a cardiologist?” questions are there to help you judge how quickly something should be looked at. They are deliberately built so that they cannot pretend to be more than that:
- They ask about the dangerous possibilities first, and any answer that suggests urgency ends the questions immediately and tells you to seek help.
- They calculate no score and produce no percentage, because a number would look like a result and there is no result to give.
- Nothing you select is sent anywhere. The answers stay in your browser and are gone when you close the tab.
A reassuring outcome from either tool is not a clean bill of health. If a symptom is frightening you, that is reason enough to be seen.
No doctor–patient relationship
Using this website, reading any page on it, or sending a message through a form does not make you a patient of the practice and does not create a doctor–patient relationship. That begins at a consultation.
Appointment requests
The booking page sends a request, not a booking. Nothing is confirmed until the clinic contacts you and agrees a time. Submitting the form does not hold a slot, and the clinic may not be able to offer the date or session you asked for.
Appointments are taken by the clinic’s own patient system, Arogyani, at app.arogyani.in. Every “book an appointment” link on this site leads there. What you type on that page is submitted to the clinic through that system and is governed by its terms and by how the practice handles patient information — not by this website, which neither receives nor keeps any of it.
Messages sent through this site are read during working hours. They are not monitored at night, on Sundays, or on holidays, and no reply should ever be waited on when a symptom is getting worse.
In an emergency, this site is useless
Nobody monitors this website in real time. If you have severe or sudden chest pain, breathlessness at rest, fainting, or one-sided weakness, call 108 for an ambulance or 112 for any emergency, or go to the nearest emergency department. Read what counts as an emergency when you are not in one.
Accuracy, and what happens when we are wrong
The clinical content here is written to be correct and is reviewed by Dr. Chauhan. Medicine changes, and pages can fall behind. If you find something on this site that is wrong or out of date, please tell the clinic — that is a genuinely useful thing to do and it will be corrected.
The practice does not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption, and is not responsible for decisions taken on the basis of these pages instead of a consultation.
Links to other sites
Where this site links somewhere else — a hospital, a map, a professional body — that site is not under the practice’s control, and linking to it is not an endorsement of everything on it.
Content
The text, illustrations and design of this site belong to the practice. You are welcome to read it, print it, and share a link to it — including with a family member who needs to understand a diagnosis. Please do not republish it as your own, and please do not present it as clinical guidance issued to a specific patient.
Using the site properly
Please do not attempt to break the site, submit the forms automatically, or use them to send anything abusive or unrelated to the practice. The forms are rate-limited and abusive submissions are dropped.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page moves when they are, and the version on the site is the one that applies.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
The Heart Care Center, 13, Ground Floor, M.K. Plaza, Hospital Road, near Madhav Dispensary, Lashkar, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh 474001. Contact details are on the visit page.
These terms describe how the practice intends this website to be used, written in plain language rather than in boilerplate. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer. The clinic should have that done before launch.
